Any printer competing in the international market must be able to produce
work at a high and consistent level. In my work, making illustrated books
for museums as a color separator, the majority of publications for large
museums are printed out of the United States. The only reason is cost. It's
no different than Apple making the iPod in China, or any other US business
competing in the global market and choosing to manufacture overseas. This is
nothing new; my work has taken me to Europe and Asia for twenty-two years.
