Eizo, Cinema Display, G7 validation

I am a first time poster, but it seems to me that you are sure working hard
at reinventing the wheel.

Kodak already has a product called Matchprint Virtual. It is D50, uses the
XYZ methodology for calculating white point, has the ability to simulate
paper simulation via icc profiles for various proofing conditions. You can
put your own icc within the software.

When D65 becomes more mainstream, they will switch to the Bradford
transform, which is what Adobe uses for calculating white point.

As for G7, yes, it is a certified G7 system on a number 3 and 5 sheet. It is
also Swop certified.

The biggest problem is the ability to match spot color. For viewing 4-color
images, it is very, very good.

Apple Cinema Displays will not currently calibrate with the new models. They
are off over 5 deltaE to the Red. The 30 inch Cinema Display is still okay.

That leaves only the Eizo for color calibrated monitors with predictable
results in the size you are looking for.

This is all info I have been researching for the past two years.

Hope this helps,

Craig
