Multiport midi sequencing
Multiport midi sequencing

It looks as though MusicSequencer can only handle a single endpoint,
so I'm wondering how we should handle multiport (i.e., > 16 channel)
sequencing? Obviously, there are things which should be common to all
tracks in a sequence, like tempo, but since the tempo track is a track
on a single sequence, what's the best way to get these all synced up?
Am I missing something major here?
It seems like there must be a lot of mucking about required if we want
to use > 16 midi channels...
I suppose we could just run a number of MusicSequences in quasi-
parallel (i.e., give them a single beat clock), and copy any tempo
change events to all the MusicSequences, but this feels pretty
hackish, to me.
Any clarification great appreciated. I'm guessing there's a more
straightforward way of doing this - scaling beyond 16 midi channels a
pretty common need, after all.
J.
