MP3 decoding on iPhone

Now that the NDA for iPhone software has been dropped, is there any way to decode mp3 or m4a audio files on the iPhone?
ExtAudioFile returns a permission error when trying to set the client data format for a compressed file.
I haven't tried AudioFile yet, but since ExtAudioFile builds on top of AudioFile, i assume that AudioFile has the same limitations?
Any ideas?
