no practical limit that I know of - it will use a disk mode with large sound banks.

Also, where can I find error messages related to the DLSMusicDevice. I'm seeing errors like -1409.


normally, audio unit errors are listed in AudioUnit/AUComponent.h

however, I'm not aware of any use of this error code by core audio APIs
