There is no way, currently. Alas.
Thanks for the detailed Radar... that's very helpful.

Is there any way to ascertain why an AudioSession is interrupted,
i.e. interrupted for phone call versus interrupted by the timer in
the Clock app when it's set to "sleep iPod"?
The reason I ask is because apparently some of our listeners were
using the Clock's timer function as a way of setting a "sleep timer"
on Pandora at bedtime -- they'd set it to "sleep iPod" and that just-
so-happened to "sleep" our app too. But with OS 3.0 it appears the
timer's behavior has changed and it resumes the AudioSession a
second or so after the interruption (it didn't used to resume like
that), and so now this "feature" that was previously unknown to us
has been broken. :( So now we're stuck, because we want to auto-
resume playing music when an interruption ends due to declined phone
call (think driving-the-car), but we don't want to auto-resume when
the interruption ends because of the Clock app's timer.
I don't think there's a way to distinguish the type of interruption,
but I thought I'd ask in case anyone else has found a workaround.
(p.s. I file radar #7007785 with an extensive description of the
problem.)
Thanks for any help,
-Neil
