Ditto. I've reported at least 20-30 interface consistency bugs (Apple
has me trained to expect perfection!) to Apple, at least 10-15 were
fixed with Leopard.

If iWeb is not doing what you want please provide feedback via the
mechanism in iWeb (and most of our products) or submit a bug/
feature request. I have personal experience with at least one of
these products feedbacks getting to the product manager very
quickly - one data point but it was successful in getting the issue
addressed. For those products that don't have the built in feedback
you can hit: <http://www.apple.com/feedback/>
I can confirm that even non-Apple employees have success in this
regard. I reported features missing from iPhoto that a recent
Windows-to-OS X switcher complained about and one year later those
major features now exist in iPhoto.
Specifically, notice how iPhoto lets you chose what photos to import
from a camera and how it detects duplicates (not a trivial task in a
big database). I have no idea how many people asked for those but I
got a direct response linked to my bug/feature report shortly after
the latest iPhoto was released.
