There's been much discussion about PGP lately,
I would like to know, are those of you using it really
encrypting the "whole" disk, or just removable media?
How does Time Machine work in this situation?
Is the Time Machine volume encrypted?
Do you use some other method to back up instead?
If so, can you do a full restore from it in the
event of a hard drive failure (or decryption failure)?
Backup data is redundant, on purpose.
Does it really make sense to compress (encrypt) backup data?
Thanks!
Erik

New Technology goes through three stages:
First it is ridiculed by those ignorant of its potential.
Next, it is subverted by those threatened by its potential.
Finally, it is considered self-evident.
