Permission issue

After I upgraded my mac to Panther and Xcode, I am able to build and run my
existing projects with Xcode.  But when I tried to modify the programs, I
keep getting "Couldn't save documents" error messages.  And somehow the
access rights to the programs has been changed to "Read Only" rather than
"Read & Write".  Anyone has the similar problems?  What's the solution?
