Creating Multiple EO's for Multiple tables

  • Subject: Creating Multiple EO's for Multiple tables

Hi All,

I have two tables and for sake of explaining this easily, let9s say they9re
Teams and Players. A one-to-may relationship exists so that Teams can have
many Players.

In order to reduce the number of screens a user can add a new team and
players on the same screen. The user will click on a 3Add new team2 button
and on this new screen team information is filled in and new players are
added in a display group. But creating these objects is giving me a
headache. I keep getting the following message:

Cannot obtain globalId for an object which is not registered in any
editingContext...(This msg is for the Player object)

The thing is, I do add the objects to the same editing context, using only
one editing context the session9s default . If I create a team, save it and
then add the players it works fine. (FYI - I don9t use classes for these
records, I use EOEnterpriseObjects, if this matters)

Any ideas?

Calven
