Off Topic : XCode, Java and Code Completion

Hi All,

With the recent release of 5.2.3 we have upgraded to 10.3.3 (from 10.2.8) and thus to XCode. Now when 10.3, XCode and 5.2.2 originally came out I read on this list and elsewhere that Code Completion wasn't supported for Java. However I discovered this morning that it is, to a limited degree. For any of my complied classes ( or indeed the WebObjects classes e.g. EOGenericRecord ) code completion works, however it doesn't work for standard Java classes such as String.

Has this always been the case with XCode and I just misunderstood that when people said that it didn't work with Java, that they were only referring to the standard Java classes ( like String ). Or has this update slipped in somewhere but never been announced ?

Thanks
Owen McKerrow

PS To turn it on I went to the Preferences -> Navigation. I ticked Enable Code Completion, Automatically Suggest Matching Option and Automatically Pop Up option list.
