We deploy with an encrypted license file and various things check with the licensemanager before performing various actions, which is fine as long as you recognize that you're not going to really stop anybody who wants to misuse your app. Java is so easy to decompile that it's usually pretty trivial to bypass security checks like these, especially when your code is proper O-O -- conveniently all your license handling is in one place.

Anyone out there sell their WO app, and use serial numbers to "unlock" them?

If anyone could offer some advice, I'd love to hear it.
