Does anyone know how that made it into the release notes if the support is non-existent? Seems like a pretty big error on Apple's part.

You mean it's as bad as the missing mutable support for the List/Map classes? Wow, stop the press!

Seriously, the main focus on the last release seemed to be the changed license and the fledging support for XCode/EOF. I'm pretty sure most of the issues will get worked out in due time.

Hopefully a future version will live up the promise so we can get XHTML without a speed penalty... Plus, did anyone ever solve the Wonder/servlet deploy issues or are they still incompatible? That's still a problem for us with using Wonder on all our projects (or at least was - I haven't checked into this for some time and maybe it's no longer an issue).

Who is "all of us" and what are the issues? Some stuff has been worked on but I have no idea from what stage you are talking about. And "we" are not doing servlet deployment (or even MT - yuck) anyway, so I have no idea what problems you may or may not have.

Cheers, Anjo

There is no "turning on" because the support is just not there. Use Project Wonder and the ERXPatcher or wait for the next release.

Yes, the 5.3 release notes claim XHTML support.

I have not been able to figure out how to turn it on. It still generates unclosed image tags, among others. Bummer.

WOImage should generate <img src="blah.jpg" />, not <img src="blah.jpg">.

Oh well.

Hi, remember that webobject tags are not present in web pages served, they are changed at runtime with regular static html code

Hi!

As most of you know by now, due to the mail flooding on this last weeks, I'm a newbie learning WO 5.3! :)

I tried to validate some pages generated by my app, but the HTML validator gives me some errors on code generated by WO components (namely, WOImage, WOTextField, etc). The problem is that the tags are not closed (ie, WO generates <tag> instead of <tab />). As I'm using XHTML to match the XHTML/CSS templates of my institution, this is not good.

One of the new features of WO 5.3 is XHTML support. So, I suppose this is fixed by flipping some switch anywhere... any ideia how?
