Hello James;

We are now just experiencing an application freeze whereby we have to
force the instance to quit via the monitor to restart it. I can't wostats up when
it freezes so I can't tell if it is a memory problem.

I wrote a brief PDF article this year to explain how to get a stacktrace of the threads from a running WOA that has "frozen". I find this sometimes quite handy to find out what's happened to lockup the app when there's lots of threaded stuff going on and it's not obvious what could be wrong. You might like to try this to see if it might help in your circumstance...

Also, I like to log out the memory used/free during the lifespan of an instance to see what's happening there just in case (heaven forbid) that memory leaking might be an issue. Finally, you might like to attempt the same procedures with the last 3.0.* connector/J JDBC driver rather than the 3.1.* series if you are using MySQL in your deployed environment.

cheers.
