I hope I could make clear that I use Frontbase myself and know a bit about it. I'm mostly happy with it and Frontbase provides great support, has an outstanding backup mechanism and works very well and fast for most of my projects. But, as with every other product, you have to know the downsides and how to work around them.

Nevertheless I do recommend using Frontbase but I also recommend to do testing with REAL data (a lots of data) when you plan a larger project - as I would do with every other database.
