I have another question. It seems there is a problem with the
multi-threaded aspects of the standard database context delegate and the
databaseContextNewPrimaryKey method. Is there a way for me to somehow
synchronize that method? Or do I need to implement it all over?

The problem is most likely because the default EOF pk generation
doesn't use the table type for mysql that support transactions. Way
back when I was using mysql, I was overriding the PK gen by wrapping
it with "LOCK TABLES;"..."UNLOCK TABLES;" or sth like it.
