Apple Enterprise Professional Services is working with Capps Digital
Consulting --- a Chicago based company who is looking for up to two
employes to work on WebObjects based projects in Chicago that require
integration with several other applications (i.e. J2EE apps). Please

Software Engineer
Position Summary:
Capps Digital Consulting creates custom web-based technology
solutions in the marketing, advertising, and publishing space that
fulfill the business needs of a diverse and high-profile client
base. The Software Engineer will join a collaborative, cross-
disciplinary team working with cutting-edge technologies from
partners such as Adobe, Quark and Apple to design, develop, and
support enterprise-class, Java-based web applications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advanced model-view-controller development
- Object modeling and design
- Involved in designing technology solutions to meet technical and
business requirements
- Involved with rapid prototyping of proposed solutions
- J2EE web application development
- Maintain technology knowledge by keeping current with industry
developments and participating in workshops, seminars, and conferences
Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience in a rapid development environment
- Background in advertising, publishing, or printing preferred
- 2-4 years of J2EE web application development
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to deliver client-facing web applications built on
a J2EE platform
- Mastery of J2EE development, testing, and deployment tools
- Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX skills
- Working knowledge of Apache and MySQL
- Previous experience with WebObjects, XCode, and Eclipse preferred
- UNIX sys admin experience (Solaris, OS X Server) a plus
- Ability to translate project requirements and prototypes into
working applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and clients in a
deadline-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and smoothly adjust to
changing priorities
- Exposure to rapid application development (RAD) and extreme
programming (XP) development practices
- Highly developed attention to detail and quality
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Dedication to on-time delivery of innovative and elegant
technology solutions
