Hi All,
I took some time and performed the Wonder Download from
CVS/Build/Install routines. So now I have a cvsroot with Wonder source
which I have imported into Eclipse per the BugTracker tutorial.
Next I attempted to run BugTracker app (Step 1-create without drop),and
it fails for the exact same error as last week:
EXCEPTION in thread "main" java.lang.VerifyError: (class:
com/webobjects/appserver/WOApplication, method:
responseForComponentWithName signature:
(Ljava/lang/String;Lcom/webobjects/foundation/NSDictionary;Lcom/webobjects/foundation/NSDictionary;Lcom/webobjects/foundation/NSDictionary;Ljava/lang/String;Lj
One other thing - when I import each of the 22 projects per the
tutorial, Eclipse reports:
Import Error - WO Frameworks Error while updating classpath > Attempted
tp beginRule: R/ , does not match outer scope rule: P/Ajax
Does anyone have any idea what is the significance of these errors?
Fred
PS - Now I have upgraded to ALL the latest tools: Eclipse
3.3.1.1/WOLips3.3.4705/WO5.3

Fred,
Who knows if it is the same ...... maybe you are the only person who
is using the mdimension source this way ...... maybe the mdimension
source is there for javadoc and no other reason.... I have no idea.
Why not just download the Wonder tree from CVS? It is not hard. Follow
the well-beaten path and then you have others who have the same setup
who can help you!
$ cd ~
$ cvs -z3
-d:pserver:email@hidden:/cvsroot/wonder co -P
Wonder
It is well documented here, step by step:

Importing into Eclipse is well documented here:

Whle you are at it, take some screen shots of the kinds of errors you
are getting (Command--Option-Shift-4, select with cross-hairs, and
then paste into the email).

Working with Eclipse is truly a 'love-hate' relationship - at least
for me it is. :-(
Have you tried a clean build of the ERX project? I run with a
direct checkout of ERX from CVS and have done this on multiple
machines, so I know this "just works" which means that you have
something wrong in your environment. Are you 5.4 or 5.3? Is ERX
checked out as a top level project and not checked out as Wonder
with ERX inside of it?
What would a clean build of ERX out of CVS accomplish? Is not
downloading the SOURCE from the mDimension server the same as a
checkout of CVS?
Thanks - Fred
