As for the "model not in the Resources folder" problem, this is
because Eclipse/WOLips don't have a target concept. In Xcode, you
would say that your resource is in the "Application Server" target
and it will add it to the "Resources" folder of your .woa/.framework.
With WOLips, the build system will include all files in the Resources
as... resources. BUT if you put your resources in an another folder,
you can add them as resources by doing a right-click on the file ->
WOLips Tools -> Include As Resource:
But do yourself a flavoir and put your resources in the Resources
folder :-)
I just (yesterday) went through similar pains in moving to Eclipse.
I am not sure that I fully understand your issue, but I found that
the eogen is created just fine from the EOModel, but the
application won't run if the EOModel is not in the Resources
folder. So, I drug (dragged?) the EOModel into the resources folder
and all was well. I am certain that this is a very amateur
explanation and there are many other methods of solving this.
Hopefully, this is the solution to your issue.

OK I have tried three times to get Eclipse working and
I am at a loss. I am trying to do the example at:

I seem to recall that I was able to do this example
before the upgrade to OS X 10.5 and I am thinking of
downgrading my computer. So here it is.
I created a new workspace. then created a project
called 'test' just to play around. Then I deleted this
project and created la project called 'nhlpm' and
followed the instructions. Originally I tried to use
javaEOGenerator but at least with my postresaql
installation. But it didn't work quite right and I was
forced to start editing the resultant objects. I don't
know enough about why these objects had all these
extra methods like fetchAll.... So I tried the
Velocity Generator.
I followed the instructions and Eclipse created my
LicensePlate.eogen file and I eogenerator'd it and it
created my objects... I ran my project to see what
would happen and I got the hello world page. I then
added in the imageResizer.java and the AddEdit
component. This is as far as I can get. ...
Now if I try to run the app the error I get is:
Application: nhlpm
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException exception
Reason:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to find
framework named "nhlpm".
I don't get it. WebObjects was never this difficult
before. I guess that to use it I need to really
understand all the nuances of what is going on.
I am about to give up and wait to see if there are
improvements in something (I don't even know where to
start looking).
Why is this so difficult?
