I know that Apple had decided last year to deprecate/stop development
of Web Objects.
To add on, I would think that the support for MS Windows development and
deployment is deprecated. For Windows/WO developer like me, who wish to use
Windows as prime development platform, and build platform-independent
applications, it is definitely not a good thing. Now we are forced to drop
Windows development (Ok, not so critical) and also to drop any Windows
deployment (that is quite bad indeed, from user perspective, maybe what
Apple likes to see..). OK, we still have choices to deploy to other
platform e.g. Linux, Solaris...; )
I really like WebObjects, it's design makes it the most powerful
development package, as well as the Apple design tools allow for fast
application design.
The same reason why I still hook on to this tool after years (after all
others have dropped and turn to others), even in a place where WO developer
resource is so scarce...and distinct : )
