I have already done this...

App starts perfectly via command line

Logging in java monitor is configured for the app but is not generated!!

Why this?

Start the application from the commandline (Terminal --> go inside the app bundle and start the app with ./appname) and see what happens. Or configure logging in JavaMonitor (which makes sense) and post the output here.
