Vacation autoresponders
Vacation autoresponders
I'm sending this message to the list as a whole in hopes of reducing the
number of these "vacation messages" in the future.
List members, please be sure you set up your vacation autoresponders
carefully. They should never be set to reply to every message that comes
in. If they are set this way, a vacation response will be sent to every
member of every mailing list you subscribe to.
A vacation autoresponder should only respond to a message if it has been
sent directly to your email address. Mailing lists should never be
included.
Please be careful, and we will reduce the number of "junk" messages like
this that appear on public lists.
Thanks.
