X11 acts strangely with 10.3.2 ?

I have been experiencing strange system freeze ups that seem to be
related to X11. This is on a dual G4 500MHz machine.
Also, the Apple terminal utility has a really slick capability that
identifies a file path when you drag and drop any file onto the
window. Is there any way to make this work in X11?
