--only-proxy Don't manage windows, just proxy

No, this isn't meant to be an RTFM-type comment, just funny that that's
the entirety of the help message. No, I didn't even try this until
after I already read the rest of this thread.

Oddly enough, it's even documented. After the spate of undocumented
magical switches in Apple-added software, I had just presumed I'd have
to wait for the FAQ to come around again, or be updated on the web
site.
