Don't be so harsh for the X11.app developers. I agree it's too bad
that this bug was not fixed (although they have done some work
integrating with CDV, but not all the way, unless we are mistaken),
but the whole thing (especially the openGL acceleration) is still a
very nice piece of work. and it's only 0.2.
I didn't mean to imply that it was useless to anyone. It is useless to
me since I can't have
xterms on multiple desktops. I think X11.app is pretty great for what
it does so far and the improvements
its made on speed and integration. Thats why I joined the list and will
keep trying it until it works.
The work the developers are doing it greatly appreciated, and I can't
wait for X11 and OSX to be
tightly integrated enough that I can just use it as part of my day to
day work.
My great wish is that some day you could display single OSX apps
directly to another OSX machine
like you can with X11 apps. That'd be some serious coolness.
For what its worth, I'm an OSX 'switcher', but I didn't switch from
Windows. I switched from
using a Sun Solaris workstation with 2 monitors to an OSX workstation
with two monitors .
Its been a bumpy ride but things like X11.app make it worthwhile.
