X11 xterm window initialization

  • Subject: X11 xterm window initialization

When a new xterm is opened from within X11, via the "Applications->Terminal" menu item, what script, if any, gets run?
I have a .xinitrc that executes properly when X11 is first started, but if I generate more xterm windows, the environmet (variables set in my .xinitrc file) is not the same as the one that is opened by my .xinitrc file.

Thanks in Advance, Mark
