With quartz-wm I seem to be able to drag the resize handle of an
Eterm window around quickly enough that the position of the
(righthand) scrollbar lags behind that of the boundary of the box.
If I let go while moving to the right, the scrollbar stops some
distance short of the edge of the window. This doesn't seem to
happen in xterm or rxvt, though I haven't done a lot of
experimenting.
This exercise leaves a noman's land along the right side and bottom
of the window which perists indefinitely until the window is again
resized. Window still functions fine. On the positive side, this
gets the down scroll-arrow out from under the resize handle (at
least for Eterm).
Moving the resize handle up or to the left quickly will cover up the
scrollbar and any new text that is written into the hidden space.
Has anyone else seen this? Should I file a bug? (but don't fix it
until you shrink the resize handle) Or is this an Eterm only issue?
I've seen this, but only if I resize the window *extremely* quickly.
In normal use it's not a problem.
You can prevent the resize box from hiding the scroll arrow if you
move the scroll bar to the left side of the window (eterm
--scrollbar-right 0). It's better to have it on the left anyway
because then you can read the left-justified text in overlapping
windows and still use the scroll bars. This is especially nice with
focus-follows-mouse.
