I have installed the OSX X11 user on my computer.
The kde 3.0.7 packages have not been tested at all under apple's x11
-- I seem to recall some fixes going into them somtime between there
and 3.1 final.
If you plan on building your own KDE (rather than just grabbing the
3.0.7 binaries from stable), I would suggest enabling unstable. 3.1
final is much cleaned up over 3.0.7 (and works pretty well under
apple's x11 =).
Make sure you've got the 0.2.x apple x11, not 0.1. KDE won't build at
all under the first apple x11 release unless you run ben hines'
library fixer script.
I Completely un-installed X11 and Fink / FC. Then did a fresh install
of X11 0.2 + Fink/FC 5. I included unstables in the options but did not
find any kdebase3 unstables. Should these be showing up in Fink or
should I building these manually without fink (which I really don't
want to do)
Thanks for your help.
Tim
