I just bought a logictech optical wheel mouse with programmable buttons.
If I simply plug it into the USB port, it works as expected X11 apps. By that I mean that left
button select/copy works and middle button paste works.
However, if I install the software, which entails a kernal extension, I lose the standard 1st and
2nd button copy/paste behavior in X11 apps (still works fine in standard osx apps).
I looked at the configuration options to see if the default behavior could be restored, and I
don't know how to do it, or if it is even possible.
Does anyone know why the mouse seems to be speaking a different language to X11 apps, depending
upon whether the kernal drivers are installed or not? And how to get the standard behavior back
for X11 applications?
I've tried contacting logitech tech support and it's thus far been a waste of time.
