Amending Talkington, any computer that can handle X can also handle
SSH. If you have a reason ("something that you need to do") that
excludes SSH, please tell me about it.

When I try to run xhosts +machineA and log into MachineA and set

It refuses the connection. I understand why X does this (security
and all)
but what if I want to disable it to do something that I need to do.
The firewall is set to allow 6000 in from any machine also.
Have you enabled "Allow connections from network clients" in the
preferences?
However, are you sure that you need to do this? Usually it's much
simpler (and secure) to just use ssh. I've got instructions up on my
