I've had some problems installing the latest apple x11 on my machine.
Originally, I installed from the panther cd set - which gave me an
error at the end of the installation. Since then I have tried
installing from the package on apple's site and the installer still
falls over at 64% written every time. I have tried deleting the
installation:
sudo rm -rf /Applications/X11.app /usr/bin/open-x11 /private/etc/X11
/usr/X11R6 /Library/Receipts/X11* /usr/include/X11 /usr/lib/X11
but this still results in the same problem.
the console is giving the (vague) error:
Installer[12346] Exception raised during posting of notification.
Ignored. exception: Some files for X11User may not have been written
correctly. (code 1)
Does anyone know if there are any other logs produced by the installer,
so I can find which files are causing the exception?
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
James
