Of course, once all these bugs have been worked out, you know what *should* happen? Finder should clearly do a -broadcast to get the XDMCP servers out there and present them behind the "Share Screen..." button, and you just click on it and get the Xephyr -query window as appropriate...

Please tell me I'm not the first person to think of that... Even if you have to add something to the avahi configuration of the XDMCP server machines.

... Although of course you're not really sharing that remote machine's screen, you're getting your own graphical interface context, but that only means the wording of the button isn't really right. It *ought* to be that easy. (Should be a "Log in... Graphical" button maybe, next to a "Log in... Terminal" where the machine offers ssh.

No? Oh g'wan. :-)
