Is /usr/X11/bin in your $PATH? (IIRC, that's how the configure script
on MacPorts figures out where X11 lives?!)

Yes, and yes.

Do you have XCode3 installed with the X11SDK? Do you have stuff in
the /usr/X11/include directory?

This is on initial installation. I downloaded MacPorts-1.5.0.tar.gz,
expanded in my home directory, cd to MacPorts-1.5.0 and tried to run
./configure. The log is attached.

What package are you seeing this on? The X dependent packages I
use
are fine (although some are linking to redundant and/or older
versions
of macports libs).

Please install the X11 SDK packages from the Xcode Developer Tools

Reinstalling X11 SDK package didn't change anything. I am
wondering,
if
between Tiger and Leopard X11 headers location has changed, and if
there is
a known remedy.
