Hi again,
What is your DISPLAY set to? By default I think it's not set on OS X!

Your information is too vague.
What do you mean "refuses to spawn other windows?" Exactly what do
you do with your mouse and keyboard that produce unexpected results,
and what exact results do you see?
Sorry, my bad. What I mean is nothing else will spawn: Not emacs, not
xclock, not another xterm, etc. from typing the corresponding
command in
the one, initial xterm that I do sometimes get. Furthermore, open-x11
also exhibits the same behavior.
Thanks for the fast response!
Best,
X

Hi List,
For whatever reason, X now refuses to spawn any other windows
other than
the initial xterm when starting X11, and sometimes I do not even get
that. I have searched google, combed through the logs, trashed my
.plists, repaired permissions, rm any .Xdefaults and .xinitrc files,
tried a different user account, rebooted, etc. Is there any debug
settings I can use to try to pin this down? Better yet, has
anyone else
experienced this? In case it matters, I am on a fully patched,
Tiger G5.
Thanks for any assistance or sympathy any of you can provide.
Best,
X
