Here is a suggestion: Run the following in a Terminal window.
sudo filebyproc.d | grep -i inkscape
Then start inkscape. Once it has finished (trying to) start up, go
back to the Terminal window and hit Control-C. You now have a list of
all the files Inkscape (the app) and inkscape-bin have tried to open.
Maybe there is a clue there. (But don't go messing with all those
files in /System/, or you'll likely hose your system.)
