I'm running this program on a toolbar button from another application, when the program runs it has to run in the background and give control back to the calling program so that they can both run at the same time.
In my called program I use fork() twice to so that the parent's exec() gets a child to return in waitpid() while we carry on, I do this more or less as the first line of main() so although I have fork()'ed the parent should have exit()'ed immediately.
The above errors happen on calling XOpenDisplay().
Apart from rewriting parts of my application can I cure this error?
Thanks, regards, Rob.
