Example porting unix code..

  • Subject: Example porting unix code..

I'm a CodeWarrior 8.3 user trying to come up to speed on XCode 1.1 under Panther 3.2
What I want to do is build and package the PostgreSQL 7.4.1 release.
The .tar file is downloaded but to build it uses the unix .configure, make, make install from the command line.
I'd really rather use XCode so I've read the Unix Porting Guide but am lost on how to setup things to build in XCode. I simply do not understand. What I need is an example or step by step instructions.
Can someone please point me at something helpful?

TIA

respect.....

Peter
