All, When I try to save any file in my xcode project and I keep
getting a
dialog "Save: couldn't save document."
The files are remotely located on a Apple 10.2.6 desktop box I am
connected
to over the network.
Any files I have locally save fine.
I have checked the premissions to Read & Write for the owner, group,
everyone still with no luck.
Openning, editing, saving them with Bbedit works fine (remote or
local)
I openned a empty project and added PHP text files to it (from the
remote
location) any special settings there I need to look at?
Any chance the file is open/in use in another application (either
locally or on the server)? I remember e.g. CodeWarrior being really
picky about opening files that were open in another application.
Having
files on a share increased the chances of files being considered
"busy".
Maybe Xcode is about just as picky when it comes to saving...

The only program that would have them open would be Apache/PHP mod
(since
they are PHP text files) I can't see Apache keeping them open all the
time.
Since I am in development (well at least trying to give xcode a chance
over
Bbedit) I am the ony one "using/viewing" these files.
Yeah, after a quick check, I don't think this is actually the problem:
I've tried to have a file open (using more) on a remote 10.2.x server,
open the same file within Xcode on a remote machine and save some
modifications: this worked just fine...
Must be some other issue...
