Frameworks/multiply-defined symbols

Hi folks,
Today I upgraded a large project over from PB to Xcode. And
thankfully, it runs fine. :-) But there's one small issue perhaps
someone can help me with. The simplified structure of my application
is as follows:
MyFramework.framework
- links to libcrypto.dylib
MyApplication.app
- links to MyFramework.framwork
- links to libcrypto.dylib
Now, this will compile, link, and run correctly.. but I get about 1000
warnings for multiply defined symbols all coming from libcrypto.
Somehow that doesn't seem correct... at least PB did not complain about
it.
So I thought, well... just remove libcrypto.dylib from my application
and see what happens. That doesn't work either, Xcode reports the
following error:
illegal reference to symbol: _SHA1_Update defined in indirectly
referenced dynamic library /usr/lib/libcrypto.0.9.dylib
So this prompts the question... is there something that I can do to fix
this? Seems like I dont really want symbols from libcrypto be public
from the framework. Ideas appreciated.
thanks,
Chris
