So how does one go about including a library in the /usr/... directory
if it's
hidden from Finder? Is there a way of explicity providing a path?
Both the Finder and Navigation Services let you navigate to a point on
a path even if you can't click your way there.
From Xcode:
- choose Add Files... from the Project menu
- press slash or command-shift-G: this brings up the Go to Folder box
- type /usr/
- press Enter
- navigate from there to lib/whatever or include/whatever
From the Finder:
- press command-shift-G ("Go to Folder")
- type /usr/
- press Enter
- navigate from there to lib/whatever or include/whatever
- drag the item you want into Xcode's Groups and Files tree
