This attitude is exactly what I'm talking about. You want Xcode to do
what you expect, without learning how Xcode works. This is
understandable, but also - I hope you agree - a bit unreasonable.
That said, I think that your problems with adopting the Xcode mental
model is interesting and important - and should be valuable to the
Xcode development team. Why don't you keep a list of all stumbling
blocks you encounter the first few weeks of using Xcode, and email
them to <email@hidden>?
Thanks for the info. I did manage to get this setup, I'm mostly
just lost in the jargon at the moment. Unfortunately this toolbar
item doesn't appear to be available to me in the condensed layout.
I guess I just have to go find the right submenu in the project menu.
It is there, but it's called "Active Build Configuration" since Xcode
2.x. It's also available from the "Project > Set Active Build
Configuration" menu.
Christopher should probably update his screenshots... ;-)
