Some of your points may hold a bit, but it doesn't seem like you've

Apple's sample code db a fair shake -- there's a landslide of great,

be your
starting point for everything (http://developer.apple.com/).
Sorry, I just assumed that the documentation would be adequate from
within Xcode, and I thought it was a copy of what was available from
the web site. I'll check there first next time.
At ADC, they
have at least one sample project for every possible suite and all
their
example projects are usually pretty complete (not just one page of
code that
is worthless). Granted, I could be suffering from a distortion
field, but
I'm not sure what you mean by "every possible suite". You mean they
try to give examples for each api function?
I guess the biggest annoyance I have is that when I drill down one
level, I'm presented with a list of articles by date. Date is the
least likely thing I could want this list sorted by. For instance:
http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/Carbon/idxGraphicsImaging-
date.html
I'd much rather see that list group by OpenGL, Quartz, basic drawing,
etc. Things I'd want to sort on most are category, topic, basic/
advanced.
Thanks
Bill
