It is possible to add EXTRA compilation flags to specific files, by
Control-clicking / Right-Clicking on the file name,
selecting info from the context menu, and then entering extra flags
in the Build pane. This will to be specific allow
the addition of the flag -D DEBUG=1

With the separate build folders for Debug and Release, is it still
possible to compile for debug in selected files, or do you have to
compile the entire project and all its targets with Debug? Can the
linker still mix debug and nondebug object files?
