I'd file a bug about what you are seeing. I'm not aware of anything
that you are doing wrong.

We use Perforce as our SCM system. I was wondering if there was any
way to get XCode 2 to use the P4CONFIG files that I typically use
from the command line? What I'm trying to avoid is having to config
each of our subprojects with the same SCM info.
Ideally I would configure my environment variable for P4USER and
P4CONFIG in ~/.MacOSX/enviroment.plist. Then in each of my project
directories I would add a .p4config file that is specific to the
depot that source tree came from, I.E. P4CLIENT, P4PASSWD, P4PORT.
All I would need to do in the project files then would be to enable
SCM and choose Perforce as my SCM, and make sure that the path to
p4 is correct.
This should be possible as the command line tool works fine this
way, but I can't seem to get the environment variables setup
correctly or XCode doesn't honor the settings in ~/.MacOSX/
enviroment.plist. I get an error in the SCM log that makes me
believe this is what is happening as it tries to use the defaults
that the tool would use if the environment variables were not set.
What am I doing wrong?
