I think you need to build against an SDK corresponding to the earliest

Tried that. However, changing the SDK setting doesn't seem to
automatically re-path everything to look in there rather than
/System/Library. What am I missing?
I did try explicitly adding the 10.3.9 Kernel.framework, but it's still not
happy. Do I have to manually redirect all the search paths too?
Be aware that, while "pure" IOKit extensions may be able to run on all
three versions (10.2, 10.3, 10.4) from one compile (depending on the
functionality you use from IOKit and the rest of the system), others,
like NKEs and VFS plugins do not fare so well. As Apple has stressed,
it is only with the introduction of the KPI that we have a prayer of
binary compatibility.
That's fine. Right now, I need to build on a 10.4 box to install on a 10.3
box, and I need it to build just like it did before I upgraded. I'll worry
about updating for 10.4 later.
Thanks
