I am having precisely this problem with one of my classes. When calling a virtual function through a base class pointer, execution steps in to the wrong function, whereupon the application crashes (because the arguments for this wrong function are invalid). This only happens in the Xcode build.

Did you manage to resolve your problem? Can you tell us how you went
about it?

I am using gcc 4.
