Of course I see everyone talking about the slow editor, I don't see that either, but as I've said earlier, I'm also used to using VS.NET and Borland's Delphi Studio, both of which are noticably slower editors.

You won't believe this. I've installed Xcode 2.1 on a 1.25Mhz eMac with 512Mb of RAM and it runs EVERYTHING faster than a G5 dual 1.8ghz in xcode - it's hard to be objective - but, I'd say it's about 50% quicker. Both 10.4.2. I had azureus in the background (A monster java app with about 80 threads) and terminal, preview, mail and safari. Its bizarre...possibly a 64bit/32bit implementation library issue?


So, the suggestion of giving the dev team minis may not be such a good idea after all!
