I received some helpful advice from Chris Espinosa to try overrding the CC build setting. This worked really well for .c files. I was able to find that I needed to also override the CPLUSPLUS build setting so that .cpp and .mm files. Then, there is a link step where it is using g++ during the Link step. I also need to override this and point it at the Bullseye version of g++. Does anyone know the name of the build setting that is used to do this? Thanks.
Sorry, miss read your post. I assume you created a spec. file for the compiler. I did this for arm-elf and it seems to be picking up the correct linker automatically. Looking back through the file I see no specific mention of the linker. Do you have all your ExecPath options set correctly?? One setting for C and C++ compilers? Each with the specific option for the source code types. I have:
Languages = (cpp, c.objcpp); FileTypes = (sourcecode.cpp); IsAbstract = YES;
In addition to the settings for the C compiler. Haven't written any c++ code so I have no idea if it actually works!!! As Chris has already pointed out, there is no documentation for this. My progress is based on the hard work of someone on the list.
Sorry it's not much help. Isn't g++ just a symlink to gcc anyway?
Cheers,
Jason. |
