Two thoughts:

a) Some versions of Subversion have a bug where they ignore any user argument, and use the current short user name regardless. I believe this is fixed in the latest stable version, but MacOS X is probably using a relatively old one.
b) Are you able to setup some SSH keys in the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys [2] file(s) on the remote side? That's the easiest way. XCode will still prompt you for a password (known bug), but you just hit enter and go on.... although I think from memory the key can't be password protected, if that's an issue for you.
