multi-platform binaries...

Dear x-list,

I've been sent here from the cocoa list, trying to get some clarity on how things work in the brave new pentium world. I have developed an app that depends on a framework that is wrapped around a lib (mysql client). So now, to make this multi-platform I will need/want to compile it in xcode. Now I know that xcode is a wrap around of gcc; and I know how to ./configure;make;make install, which is how I would typically build mysql client... How do I use xcode(2.1) to do the equivalent of ./configure;etc. to produce a "fat" binary? Please help one of those developers in shock over the switch

Matthew Weinstein
